  - MW : 13kD. Recombinant Human Trefoil Factor 2 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Gln24-Tyr129 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Trefoil Factor 2 (TFF2) is a member of the trefoil family and contains two P-type (trefoil) domains. Members of this family are characterized by having at least one copy of the trefoil motif, a 40-amino acid domain that contains three conserved disulfides. TFF2 is a secreted protein and specifically expressed in the stomach. TFF2 inhibits gastrointestinal motility and gastric acid secretion. TFF2 could function as a structural component of gastric mucus, possibly by stabilizing glycoproteins in the mucus gel through interactions with carbohydrate side chains.

    Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 µg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
