  - SET Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 313 amino acids (1-290) and having a molecular mass of 35.9kDa. SET is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. SET is part of a complex localized to the endoplasmic reticulum however is found in the nucleus. SET inhibits apoptosis following attack by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and can also enhance DNA replication of the adenovirus genome. SET inhibits acetylation of nucleosomes, particularly histone H4, by histone acetylases (HAT). This inhibition is accomplished by masking histone lysines from being acetylated.

    Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
