MW : 49.3kD. Recombinant Human Corneodesmosin is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Lys33-Pro528 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Corneodesmosin is a protein that is encoded by the CDSN gene in humans. This gene encodes a protein found in corneodesmosomes, which localize to human epidermis and other cornified squamous epithelia. During maturation of the cornified layers, the protein undergoes a series of cleavages, which are thought to be required for desquamation.
