  - CDCA8 Human Recombinant fused with a 21 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 283 amino acids (19-280a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 31.6kDa. The CDCA8 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. CDCA8 is a component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC). The CPC complex has crucial functions at the centromere in ensuring accurate chromosome placement and isolation and is obligatory for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. In the complex, CDCA8 protein is needed to direct the CPC to centromeric DNA. Removal of CDCA8 delays mitotic progression and causes kinetochore-spindle to mis-attach.
