ANXA8L2 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 351 amino acids (1-327) and having a molecular mass of 39.4 kDa. ANXA8L2 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Annexin A8-like 2 (ANXA8L2) belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins. Annexin family members are regulators of such varied processes such as ion flux, endocytosis and exocytosis, and cellular adhesion. ANXA8L2 is a membrane binding protein with various properties, including voltage-sensitive calcium channel activity, ion selectivity and membrane fusion. ANXA8L2 overexpressionis linked to acute myelocytic leukemia. ANXA8L2 may act as an anticoagulant which indirectly inhibits the thromboplastin-specific complex.
