AAV-CAG-Mito-EGFP (Serotype 2) (Pre-made)

AAV2-CAG-Mito-GFP is a pre-packaged rAAV in serotype 2 (with capsid from AAV serotype 2 and 2xITR from AAV serotype 2) which expresses the Mito-EGFP fusion protein under the CAG promoter (also known as the CBA promoter) The CAG promoter is a combination of the cytomegalovirus (CMV) early enhancer element and chicken beta-actin promoter for high levels of gene expression in mammalian cells. The mitochondrial targeting sequence from subunit VIII of human cytochrome C oxidase (Mito) is fused with N-terminal of the EGFP. The Mito sequence targets the Mito-EGFP fusion protein to the host cell’s mitochondria.
