Flow Cytometry Microfluidic chips often combine cell counting with functions such as cell sorting and lysis. Commonly used cell counting methods are: fluorescence detection, digital image processing technology (CCD image sensor) and impedance measurement.

Cell counting plates are used for microscopic counting of red and white blood cells in humans. They are also commonly used to count the number of microbes such as bacteria, fungi, and yeasts, and are a common biological tool.

The cell count plate is directly measured under a microscope. It observes the number of individuals in a certain volume of microorganisms, and then calculate the number of bacteria, simple and quick.
