Hydrophilic Test Solution, Contains Four Dyes

For practical work or teaching purposes, the multi-colorant test solution enables significant verification and demonstration of the properties of mobile and stationary phases. To check the development conditions of an analysis, it may sometimes be useful to add a separate test mixture with each TLC separation.
The hydrophilic test solution contains four dyes. Fluorescein, which produces intense green fluorescence when excited by long UV light, methyl red, which changes from red to yellow in the alkaline pH range, methylene blue and emerald green. The dyes are dissolved inisopropanol.
