Hermes All-In-One Platfrom

In designing our new Hermes All-In-One automated system, we aimed to empower labs to utilize existing infrastructure to expand their capabilities while minimizing the amount of valuable lab space occupied.

With push-button programming the system autonomously:
· Stacks multi-well plates in a built-in plate stacker which accommodates up to 20 plates
· Loads & unloads plates for microscopy imaging
· Acquires high quality images on the WiScan® Hermes automated high content screening system
· Analyzes acquired images using WiSoft® Athena automated image analysis software
· Produces presentation-ready results display using multiple visualization tools (scatter plots, histograms, heat maps, time graphs, dose curves, etc.)

The primary purpose of the Hermes All-in-one system is to facilitate the high-throughput screening of multi-well plates, a task fundamental to various research and development activities in the life sciences. By automating the process of stacking, loading, and unloading up to 20 multi-well plates, the system significantly reduces manual handling and minimizes the risk of error, thereby increasing the productivity of research operations.

System layout includes the following units:
· Hermes microscope (automated cell imaging system)
· Stacker for 20 multi-well plates
· Manipulator arm for plates loading/un-loading
· Dedicated unified cart integrating all units in a single workstation
