Silo sampler SiloPicker

The SiloPicker is a target point sampler for sampling free-flowing bulk solids directly from silos and other storage containers. The SiloPicker simplifies sampling and enables target point samples to be taken efficiently from specific depths or layers. A special mechanism only opens the closure of the collection chamber when the desired depth has been reached and the collector is retracted again. In this way, targeted samples can be taken for analysis or several samples can be collected to produce a representative composite sample.
The design of the collector makes it easy to penetrate the bulk material and take the desired sample without disturbing the surrounding material. However, the possible sampling depth is influenced by the density of the bulk material.
The SiloPicker can be dismantled into its individual parts for easy cleaning.

The SiloPicker is used to check the consistency and quality of bulk goods to ensure that they meet the specified standards, e.g. in storage monitoring for early detection of spoilage, contamination or other quality losses, for taking samples for analysis purposes to examine the properties of bulk goods, in agriculture for taking samples of grain, animal feed and other agricultural products directly from silos, in the food or chemical industry for taking chemical powders and granulates for quality and safety tests.
