These clear coverslips are #1 thickness, ranging from 0.13 to 0.17mm. The rectangular shape is 14 by 50mm, and the design abides by the tolerances described in ISO 8255/1.
Knittel, a specialized German manufacturer, created these coverslips for ultra-thinness. The water-white colorless borosilicate glass is designed for optimum hydrolytic resistance to ensure lasting quality following sterilization processes. This coverslip performs well with automatic coverslippers, including leading machines manufactured by Leica.
To prevent sticking during stacking, these coverslips have very fine glass particles powdering each surface. These coverglass products also use patented down-draw technology.
