Introduction

The Gc glycoprotein is one of the two surface glycoproteins (along with Gn) of Hantaviruses, a genus of viruses that can cause severe diseases in humans, such as hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS). Gc is involved in viral entry into host cells.
